LEGO Kits For 9-Year Old Kids

Since their company began in 1949, LEGO has escalated in their quality, launching thousands of new, successful campaigns for kids in the last 64 years. With that in mind, they're top on the list of manufacturers for the best toys for boys 9 years of age and beyond. Even adults will triumphantly proclaim, "Once a LEGO kid, always a LEGO kid!" The following sets are amusing for hours at a time, perfect for multiple children (friends and siblings), enticing to kids-at-heart, and simply entertaining for every gender, every age, every building level.

Here are a few fan favorites --

LEGO Super Heroes Iron Man Extremis Sea Port Battle

In a battle from the movies, Aldrich Killian, Iron Man, and War Machine duke it out in the name of good and evil. Little boys will build the boat that's taking Killian to freedom out of 195 multicolored, easy-snap bricks. Along with the speedboat, there's also a dynamite buoy, pistols, missiles, and a hidden storage compartment for Killian's dastardly plans. A shoulder cannon helps Iron Man win the day, while War Machine is there 100% with his lasers as back-up.

LEGO Ninjago The Golden Dragon

252 pieces go into making The Golden Dragon, his riders, and all of the proverbial bells and whistles of this set. Ride the dragon to victory as one of 3 mini-figurines, fighting for honor in a classic Ninjago world. Weapons for battle include a hammer, scimitar, spear, and dynamite sticks to blow villains to smithereens (if only in your imagination). The winged beast itself is equipped with extending wings, custom dragon sphere attacks, and poseable claws.

LEGO Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter

Typically for collectors, this Star Wars set is specifically for playtime! The 560 pieces are half-the-fun as it will take several hours to construct and customize this Starfighter. Included, as per usual with SW toys, there is Luke Skywalker and his faithful R2D2, as well as R5DB and Jek Perkins.

LEGO City Loader and Tipper

For little miners, this set mimics a miniature construction site. There are 2 miners, complete with helmets, pecking at huge rocks to reveal the golden nuggets inside. They'll use the loader and tipper to dig out and deliver these gems, keeping their timed dynamite and hatchets handy for a delve deeper into their surroundings. "There's gold in those hills!" Simple, yet still super-awesome, this set contains 139 pieces of buildable fun. There's even a warning sign to let other mini-figurines in the area know what's going on!
