11-12 Year Old Girls Toys (2009-2010)

Here is a list of 11-12 Year Old Girls toys for the holiday season 2009 and into 2010 - I did some study on "hot toys" lists to find these, as well as considering the overall ratings of the toys and the age group for girls.

Here they are...

1. Make Your Own Lip Balm (girls 7-12 years) - Girls can mix together ingredients to create their own flavored lip balms and even put them into special cosmetics containers (included).  A fun activity for girls in this age group to do alone or with friends.  Cosmetic and spa type toys are quite a hot item right now for older girls and young teens - this particular kit is at the top of the list.

2. Alex Toys Friends Forever Bracelet Making Kit (girls 8-12 years) - Last year I noticed the Alex Toys company come to the forefront for creative "friendship" type toys for girls - this is one of the most creative kits for girls with all that is needed to make up to 22 different friendship bracelets that they can exchange with their friends.  There are now quite a number of Alex toys creative kits for girls.

3. Project Runway Fashion Design Studio Set (girls 7-15 years) - Here is a great way for girls who love fashion to truly express themselves!  This is a set that comes with all that is needed to create unique, individual fashion designs and is a great gift for girls with an artistic "bent".

4.  American Girl 300 Wishes Game (girls 8-12 years) - This game has received consistent rave reviews from the young ladies who play it - and is even a fun game for entire families to play!  Especially great entertainment for girls to play with their friends.

5.  Girl Crush Streak and Style Kit (girls 6-12 years) - Here is a fun and easy way for young ladies to add a touch of color to their hair, creating new and exciting looks!  The kit comes with various colors to try out as well as a wand for application.  (Note: There are consumer reviews that mention the color takes longer to wash from blonde hair than darker hair, and that precautions should be taken to keep the color from staining areas where it is being used.)

There is the last of the toy lists this year - the best 11-12 year old girls toys 2009-2010, based on popularity and overall sales - as well as consumer ratings.  If you would like to check out girls toys further, you can do that here:

Toys for Girls 9-10 - "Best of" for 2009-2010

When shopping for a girl age 9-10 it can be a bit difficult these days to keep up with what's "in" and what's "out", due to the fact that technology and what's "cool" tend to change pretty quickly!  =)  Based on information gotten from various "hot toy list" resources, I have gathered together the best toys for girls 9-10 years of age - here they are:

1.  Disney Netpal Computer from ASUS and Disney (girls age 6-12) - This computer is the "real thing" - a real PC made just for kids.  It has a great Disney theme, complete computer technology (including WiFi) - but with additional parental controls for surfing and email communication.  It comes in both "Princess Pink" and "Disney Blue".  Makes a Nice gift!

2. Girl Gourmet Sweets Candy Jewelry Kits (girls 8-15) - Here is a fun way for little ladies to stay entertained!  These kits give what is needed to make candy beads, etc., then to make them into jewelry.  Girls can either wear them, eat them or both!  (Note: If you purchase a kit with the oven, be aware that the oven does not include the bulb - you will need to purchase a "40-watt 120V Small Base Candelabra Blunt Tip Light Bulb".)

3. Jakks Hannah Montana Video Game (girls 5-15 years) - This is an ideal gift for girls who are Hannah Montana fans - the guitar functions as a game controller, allowing girls to play right along with famous Hannah Montana songs - just like they are in the band!
4.  Live Butterfly Garden (kids 4-14 years) - The Live Butterfly Garden is a kit that comes with the utilities to raise a butterfly from a larvae through all of it's stages, and kids can observe the process closely while it's happening!  A creative, fun and learning gift for kids.
5.  Orb Factory Sticky Mosaics: Jewelry Box (girls 6-15 years) - There are quite a few "sticky mosaics" kits to choose from - the most popular of them for girls is the Jewelry box.  This is a great gift for girls who enjoy creativity and like to create their own things.  There are over 1000 pieces to create with, and kids end up with a lovely and colorful jewelry box when it is complete.

Top Toys for Girls Age 7-8 (2009-2010)

The toys that are considered "in" these days are quite a bit different than last year - if you are shopping for a girl in the age range of 7-8 years, there are a lot of toys to choose from.  Of all of them, the ones listed on this page are considered the "best of the best" - here are the Top Toys for Girls Age 7-8 for the Christmas holiday season 2009 and into 2010:

1.  Disney Netpal Computer (kids age 6-12) - This is a real "grownup" PC, but is geared toward kids with a (very) cute Disney theme and special parental controls for internet surfing and email communications.  It also has WiFi capability and generally all of the elements that a real computer has.  A very nice toy for kids who are in need of their own computer - it makes the perfect "first" for a PC.

2.  Jakks Girl Gourmet Sweets Candy Jewelry Kits (girls age 8-15) - There are various kits for girls to make their own candy jewels, then put them together as jewelry!  This is another great idea from Jakks for girls.  (Note:  There have been some negative consumer reviews regarding the oven in one of these kits - it does not come with a bulb, so if you decide to purchase this toy, just be prepared for that (the bulb required is a "40-watt 120V Small Base Candelabra Blunt Tip Light Bulb") - it's a good idea to have the bulb purchased before the toy is gifted if you decide on this kit.)

3.  Princess Tiana "Just One Kiss" Doll (girls age 3-10) - This is a lovely doll that is based on the movie scene from "Princess and the Frog".  The doll is wearing a lovely blue gown that lights up with special "firefly" lights and makes magical sound.  She even comes with the "frog" (Prince Naveen).  There are some other popular "Tiana" dolls as well.

4.  Jakks Pacific Hannah Montana Guitar Video Game (girls age 5-15)- Here is the perfect gift for a girl who loves Hannah Montana!  It's a guitar that functions as a controller for a music-playing video game.  Players can play along with famous Hannah Montana songs just like they are in the real band.
5.  Make Your Own Lip Balm (girls age 7 and older) - Cosmetic and "spa" type toys have really been on the "hot list" over the past few years!  This is a great toy for girls in this age range - they can create their own flavored lip glosses and even have real cosmetic containers to store them in.  Creative fun for little ladies.

There you have the list - the above are the Top Toys for Girls Age 7-8 by information gotten from Toy Wishes magazine as well as study of other "hot toy" lists.  One of the above should be a hit with girls in this age range, but if you would like to look further, here is a great place to check:

Best Toys for Girls 5 to 6 Years of Age (2009-2010)

What are the best toys for girls 5 to 6 years of age?  There are quite a few to choose from - and making a final decision on these wasn't the easiest thing to do!  =)  I studied information from Toy Wishes magazines as well as looking through other "hot toys" resources and came up with this list of toys for girls age 5-6 - I'm fairly sure that at least one of these will be a hit - but if not there are further resources toward the bottom of the page.

Here they are...

1.  Crayon Town Toys from Wild Planet (girls and boys age 4-6) - In the past couple of years I have taken note of the creativity and thought that goes into Wild Planet toys - and this is definitely not an exception!  These are great toys, especially for girls (or boys) who like to color and draw - and create in general!  There are various sets to choose from, each one having it's own theme.  Kids can color and set up the scene then use special attachments provided in the set to make their crayons into characters or parts of the environment - what a great idea!  =D

2.   Princess and the Frog "Just One Kiss" Tiana (girls age 3-10) - This is a darling doll that is based on the "Just One Kiss" scene from the Disney movie, "Princess and the Frog".  It comes complete with lovely blue gown (that lights up and makes magical sounds) - and of course the "frog", Prince Naveen.  There are other "Tiana" toys that are also quite popular this year.

3.  Printies Design Studio from Technosourse (girls age 5 and older) - This is a wonderful and unique idea - girls can design their own stuffed animals on the computer, then print them out on special fabric, put them together and voila!  Custom designed stuffed animals.  Very cute - very creative too.  There are multiple sets to choose from.
4.  Zhu Zhu Pets (girls 3 years and older) - Depending on the girl you are shopping for, this might be a toy considered to be a bit on the "young" side, but is still quite popular with a number of girls in this age range.  Zhu Zhu pets are little mechanical hamsters that look and act like the real thing, even having their own playsets and habitats to live in.

5.  LeapFrog Leapster 2 Learning Game System - A new version of the Leapster, a great toy for both having fun and learning spelling, math and more. There are more than 30 games to choose from.

If you have come to the bottom of the list of the "best toys for girls 5 to 6" and yet have not found exactly what you think will make a great gift, here is another place to check:

Little Girls Toys Age 3-4 (2009-2010)

Little girls are soooo much fun to shop for - especially when you know what to buy!  So - what are the best little girls toys age 3-4?  On this page is a list of toys that are predicted to be the 5 hottest sellers for little ladies in this age range, based on information from Toy Wishes Magazine as well as further study on children's toys for this age group.  (Link to additional resources is below this list.)  Here they are...

1.  Zhu Zhu Pets (Girls age 3 and up) - After even just a little bit of a look into little girls toys for 2009 and 2010, this was a bit of a "no brainer"!  These toys are very much loved by little girls - they are very lifelike mechanical hamsters that sound and act just like the real thing - and can even have their own habitats to live and play in!  And -- of course they're quite cute.  =)

2.   Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set (For girls 3 years and up) - Leave it to Melissa and Doug to have some of the simplest toys be also some of the most creative!  These are pretend-to-bake cookies, complete with (velcro attached) frosting.  There are a number of Melissa and Doug similar types of food toys in the lineup, but this is the most popular of them all this year.

3.  Leap Frog Scribble and Write (For girls 3-5 years) - This is a great toy for either a girl or a boy, it's a great basic learning tool and is a lot of fun for kids.  Another great product from LeapFrog.
4.  Melissa and Doug Standing Easel (For Girls 3 years and older) - This one may stay on the "hot" list forever!  It's one of the most classic and loved toys for either a boy or girl in this age range.  Kids can get creative with this toy perhaps like no other.  A great toy for kids who love to paint and draw.

5.  International Playthings "My First Purse" (For Girls 3-4 years) - Last but perhaps not least comes the "My First Purse" from International Playthings.  For a little lady who loves to play "grownup" this is a perfect toy.  The purse is cute (with a large flower on the side), and the accessories are even better:  wallet, keys, cell phone, mirror and yes - a debit card.  =)

There is the list of the "best" little girls toys 3-4 years for the holidays 2009 and well into 2010.  I hope that this list has helped to point you in the right direction - however, if this list doesn't have what you might want or you just want to look further, here is a great resource!

Top 10 Girls Toys 2009-2010

For those shopping for a young lady this year and are not sure exactly what to look for, on this page you will find the Top 10 Girls Toys for 2009 and 2010 -- these are toys that are predicted to be the best-selling toys for the Christmas Holiday season 2009 and well into the 2010 year -- here they are:

1.  Zhu Zhu Pets (For girls age 3 and up) - These are more geared for girls on the younger age of this group - and are some of the hottest toys ever.  They are far and away the most popular and best selling toys - period.  Here's what these toys are about: They are very lifelike mechanical hamsters.  That might sound unlikely to you as a popular toy, but they are quite adorable - acting and sounding like the real thing.  Kids take care of them, and they can even have their own habitats to live in!

2.  Disney Netpal Computer in "Princess Pink" (For girls age 6-12) - This is actually a real PC for kids and makes the perfect "first real computer".  It has a cute Disney theme with the various characters and also features (important) additional parental control over browsing and email communication.  It has WiFi capability as well.  (There is a "Disney Blue" color for boys as well.)

3.   Girl Gourmet Sweets Candy Jewelry - This is definitely a hot seller and a great idea.  There are various types of candies that girls can make into jewelry pieces then put them together for jewelry to wear -- or to eat!  =)  A note on this group of toys -- there have been some complaints on the oven for the fact that it comes without a heating bulb and they have to be purchased elsewhere.  This is a downfall, but if you think that there is a girl that would love these toys (or "kits") it might be worth it to run out for the bulb!  There are also different types of kits to choose from.

4.   Princess and the Frog "Just One Kiss" Tiana Doll (For girls 3-10 years) - There are a few different Tiana dolls and toys from the movie "Princess and the Frog" but the one slated as being the most popular for this Christmas season is the "Just One Kiss" doll - it is based on the cute scene from the movie and comes complete with frog (Prince Naveen).

5.   Printies Design Studio (For girls 5 years and older) - I love these!  They are kits for girls to design their own stuffed animals on a computer, print them out onto special fabric then put them together themselves.  This allows girls to create their own favorite stuffed animal toys!  Great idea - and there are a number of the kits to choose from - all of which are adorable.
6.  Jakks Pacific G2 Game Girl Hannah Montana Guitar Video Game (For girls ages 5-15) - For any young lady who is a Hannah Montana fan, this might just be the ultimate gift this year.  It is a guitar, but is also the "control" for a video game where the player plays along with Hannah Montana songs, just like she was in the band!  A great idea for young ladies who are fans, or perhaps just would like a basic intro to guitar.
7.   Melissa and Doug Friendship Stamp Set (For girls 4-8 years) - For little ladies who enjoy colors and shapes as well as friendship, this is a terrific gift.  I almost can't say enough about the quality and creativity that Melissa and Doug put into their products - and this one is no exception.

 8.  International Playthings "My First Purse" (For girls age 2-3 years) - This is a lovely little purse with a fun colorful flower on the side - but that's not the best part!  The accessories are fun and entertaining - there is a wallet, keys, mirror, cell phone -- and even a debit card!  =D  This is a great gift for a little lady between 2 and 3 years old.

9.  LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game System (Pink) (For girls 4-8 years) - This is a great product from LeapFrog and seems to be the current "hottest" item from their lineup.  It is a handheld computer game with basic learning of letters, numbers, words and more.  And - it's a lot of fun!

10.  Fisher Price Kid Tough Digital Camera (Pink) (For girls 3-10 years) - This is one of a few different brands of digital cameras for kids, but has risen to the top in terms of popularity.  It is a real camera but without the fragility of an "adult" version and allows kids to take their own pictures and more.  (There are other colors for the camera as well.)

There is the list!  The above toys make up the Top 10 Girls toys 2009-2010.  As mentioned above, these are the toys that are predicted to be the most popular - but every kid is different, eh?  =)  If you would like to see more, the a great place to find additional toys is right here:
I hope that this list has helped you find the best girls toys for either the holiday season 2009 or into 2010 - happy shopping!  =)
