NERF For Families - Outdoor Wars

Sometimes it can be difficult for the family to do something together without bickering about the latest in technology or what they’ve seen on television. Then mom might retire to her computer, while dad takes a seat in his office with a new iPad, and all the kids gather around the latest gaming console. This has become the norm for most American families; however, the new NERF toys hopes to change that, giving families a reason to step outside the electronic box for a while. With decades of entertaining experience under their proverbial belt, NERF hopes to re-instill the value of good ole’ fashioned fun with battles and wars that can be fought between families in an outdoors setting.

Here are some of their new guns and blasters for the occasion:

NERF N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire Blaster

Holding up to 144 Elite darts, this blaster is top-of-the-line. Customized for drawn out backyard battles, it’s a shooter with power – firing round after round in rapid succession with a distance of up to 75 feet. Quick reload clips means you’re not out of ammo for long as you run from cover from the fire-power of giggling kids.

Vortex Pyragon Blaster

A favorite among adults because of the foam discs (instead of darts), this blaster can hold up to 40 discs at one time. Plus, they’re bright orange, making them easier to locate when ammo is running short and daylight’s drawing to a close. The slam-fire handle allows you to fire multiple discs at once, allowing you to unleash an all-out assault blast on unsuspecting combatants.

NERF N-Strike Recon CS-6 Dart Blaster

Ideal for the family sniper, this shooter features a tactile rail for maximized precision. There’s also a barrel extension for a more accurate shot, while the quick reload of the 6-dart ammo clip puts you back in the game.

Blasters of NERF - The Best of 2012

NERF has been around for decades, beginning in the 1970’s and becoming popularized in the 1990’s with the tagline, “It’s Nerf or nothing!” Since then, the company has released some of the best toys known to the world. Many of us bonded with our friends and family over a friendly game with a high-powered super soaker. Therefore, it was important for NERF toys 2012 to prove themselves superior once again above all other toy manufacturers. The biggest question was, “Do they still have ‘it’?”

The following 2012 line of blasters proves that they definitely still do!

NERF N-Strike Elite Retaliator Blaster (shown above)

With a retail value of $43, this blaster reigns supreme. Complete with 4 configurations that include a lengthening barrel and a removable stock (for a steadier shot), it’s a fierce shooter with few competitors. The range is close to 75 feet with 12 foam darts to a single clip and a quick reload capability. There’s also an Elite customization pack available (sold separately) to turn this blaster from ferocious to undefeatable.

NERF N-Strike Jolt Blaster

This shooter is impressive! At first, it looks harmless; however, it’s small enough to fit in your pocket, drawing in a high-noon fashion before pummeling your opponent with a long-distance foam dart. Dubbed one of the most powerful guns to come from this company, Jolt is a perfect 2-shooter for those in-between games or the sneak attacks.

NERF N-Strike Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 Dart Blaster

This blaster is considered the machine-gun of all the Nerf shooters. A rotating fan means this blast is entirely air-powered with 2 blasting modes and intense firing pressure. An adjustable stock and clean design allows for bee-lined accuracy and a direct shit almost every time. Plus, rapid fire capabilities means it’s simple to eliminate your opponent with a barrage of foam darts all at once.
