PS3 Kids Games Late 2009-2010 - Top 5 Picks

Earlier this year I posted some information regarding PS3 kids games - but there have been some new games released and I did some digging to find out which ones were the most loved by kids this year, and would be perfect presents for Christmas time or into 2010.

1.  Katamari Forever -  Restore celestial bodies with new effects and new moves - over 50 "cousins" to use in action.

2. Little Big Planet (Game of the Year Edition) - Last year, Little Big Planet became known as one of the hottest and most entertaining games on any gaming platform - period.  This year, the "Game of the Year" Edition promises to be even better!  =)

3. Ghostbusters the Video Game - This game is one of the hottest selling for kids on the PS3 system, and is a fun, "What happens after Ghostbusters 2?" version. A bit of a surprise to me that this game and story has made such a comeback - fun game for kids!

4. Lego Indiana Jones the Original Adventures - This was one of the top picks from last year, and it's back! =) A well deserved position in the hot selling list of PS3 games for kids. Hysterically funny and challenging as well.

5. Wall-E - This game is another one that is "hot on the list" and coming back from last year. Gamers can play in similar environments as the movie or explore new territories. Wall-E is true to form in this game, and it's a perfect choice for all levels of gamers, even the very beginners.

PS3 Kids Games - Top Picks, Where to Buy

Next in the series of "Best Kids Video Games" is for PS3 Kids Games. There are a huge number of games to choose from, and I recently ranked them based on user experience, rankings as well as top sales.

Of all of those games - based on the info above, here are my top 3 picks, and info on where to buy each one for a good price online:

1. Little Big Planet PS3 Kids Game - There is almost not enough that I can say about this game - it's not only very challenging in terms of the creativity and thinking involved, it's actually hysterical! Little Big Planet allows players to create their own identities within the main character "Sackboy" (yes, really) that is basically a knitted sock with button eyes, etc. Great stuff, super fun and funny too.

2. Lego Indiana Jones The Original Adventures PS3 Kids Game - Another very funny one - but quite challenging too! The "levels" are based on the original Indiana Jones movies as well as the characters, using Lego pieces in the game as part of the whole strategy. Awesome. =)

3. Wall-E PS3 Kids Game - A note about this one - it's been "poo-poohed" in ratings by people who say that the game is not challenging enough - however for young children the game is not only fun and challenging, but is a perfect level for their readiness (and this was mentioned in ratings as well by those who like the game). The game scenes are based on scenes from the Wall-E movie, kids can re-live those scenes and interact within them.

Note: When researching the "where to buy" part of these games, I consistently found that the best price options were on the two resources I'm giving here. They truly are the best places to buy them.
