LEGO For LOTR Fans - Themes & Sets

There’s nothing quite like taking a trip down memory lane with the hobbits of your story time past. Parading through the shire with the likes of Pip and Frodo, while reveling in the beauty of the greenery before setting your life on the line to eliminate a ring of true power and manipulation. That’s the Lord of the Rings trilogy in a nutshell. A theme and storyline that has been adopted with the release of new LEGO toys this season. It might sound like a tired plot to play with, but LEGO brings a fresh outlet to those die-hard fans of the LOTR series.

What kind of sets can we expect?

LEGO The Lord of the Rings Attack on Weathertop Set

Nestled in the ancient fortress of Weathertop, Aragorn, Merry, and Frodo take refuge from the ensuing evil forces. Decking their hide-out with traps and utilizing the leftover weaponry, the trio set up a ruined castle of defense against the Ringwraith. With the ring grasped tightly in Frodo’s hand, the battle begins. 430 pieces of buildable fortress walls and accessories complete this set for a fight to remember.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings Hobbit Gandalf Arrives

When Gandalf arrived in the Shire, it was a joyous day for all who saw him. You can recreate that blissful ignorance of Frodo and his accompanying hobbits with 83 buildable pieces – including Gandalf and his noble steed. He brings fireworks and hope before delivering the news of the journey that is to befall Frodo.

LEGO Lord of the Rings Orc Forge Exclusive Set

Perhaps one of the coolest moments in the series is when Frodo and his mates stumble into the Orc Forge. This 2-part set allows you to recreate the entire scene, complete with smelting devices and (of course) a small army of Orcs.
